Not a big story in a game when 7th ranked Titans (7-8) were defeated on the road by fifth ranked Giessen 46ers II (9-5) 79-66 on Sunday. The best player for the winners was American guard Jeril Taylor (193-94, college: S.Indiana) who scored 23 points and 9 rebounds. The former international Johannes Lischka (203-87) chipped in 22 points and 9 rebounds. Giessen 46ers II's coach Rolf Scholz used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to get some rest. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Janek Schmidkunz (183-90, college: Amer.Internat.) who recorded 17 points and Helge Baues (205-94) added 8 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists respectively. Giessen 46ers II moved-up to fourth place in South. Titans lost third consecutive game. They keep the seventh position with eight games lost.
