Regular Season Round 15: Stade - Wusterhausen 87-69

Rather expected game when 10th ranked WSG Koenigs (4-9) were defeated on the road by seventh ranked Stade (7-6) 87-69 on Sunday. Stade forced 26 WSG Koenigs turnovers. It was a great evening for American point guard Yettra Specks (178-95, college: Jackson St.) who led his team to a victory scoring 28 points and 4 assists. Swingman Janis Stielow (193-95) helped adding 20 points and 9 rebounds. Four Stade players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was guard Thomas Schoeps (188-89, college: Odessa JC) with 13 points and 5 rebounds and Julius Duering (193-97) scored 15 points. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Stade moved-up to fifth place in North, which they share with Goetting.ASC and Rendsburg. Loser WSG Koenigs keep the tenth position with nine games lost. Stade will face higher ranked Vechta-2 (#4) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. WSG Koenigs will play against the league's second-placed Neustadt TSV (#2) and hope to win that game.
