Regular Season Round 15: CSKA - Beroe-2 79-81

The most exciting game of round 15 in the Division A took place in Sofia. This derby game ended with only two-point home defeat of 4th placed CSKA (4-9) to third ranked Beroe-2 (7-4) 81-79 on Sunday evening. Beroe-2 outrebounded CSKA 33-20 including 24 on the defensive glass. It was a great evening for forward Nikolay Nikolov (196-94) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 14 rebounds. Swingman Martin Radnev (192-89) helped adding 20 points and 11 rebounds. The best for the losing side was Andy Francis (193-99) with 26 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists and swingman Emiliyan Grudov (195-1) scored 21 points and 5 steals. Beroe-2 have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to second place. CSKA at the other side dropped to the fifth position with nine games lost. Beroe-2 will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. CSKA will play again on the road against the league's second-placed Beroe-2 (#2) in Stara Zagora and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
