The game between second ranked Edremit (11-5) and twelfth ranked Mersin Uni (8-9) was the most important one in the last round on Friday night. Edremit was defeated by Mersin Uni in Mersin 70-58. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Edremit. Mersin Uni looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American center Candice Agee (198-94, college: Penn St.) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and the former international forward Nazli Guler (184-82, agency: 1x1 Sports) chipped in 13 points and 10 rebounds. Bahamas center Waltiea Rolle (198-90, college: N.Carolina) responded with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 11 rebounds and Hande Celebi (-90, agency: 1andBox Sports Agency) scored 12 points and 9 rebounds. Four Edremit players scored in double figures. Mersin Uni moved-up to eleventh place. Edremit at the other side dropped to the fourth position with five games lost. Mersin Uni are looking forward to face league's second-placed Bursa BSB at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Edremit will play against the league's leader Bodrum and will have a slim chance for a victory.
