No shocking result in a game when seventh ranked Titans (8-8) crushed 9th ranked FC Bayern II (6-9) in Dresden 73-52 on Friday. Quite impressive performance for point guard Janek Schmidkunz (183-90, college: Amer.Internat.) who helped to win the game recording 17 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. American guard Willie Mangum IV (185-93, college: E.Michigan) contributed with 19 points for the winners. Four Titans players scored in double figures. Karim Jallow (199-97) replied with 15 points and 9 rebounds and Austrian forward Marvin Ogunsipe (204-96) added 11 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for FC Bayern II. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Titans moved-up to sixth place in South, which they share with Bayer Giants and Fraport SKY II. Loser FC Bayern II keeps the ninth position with nine games lost. Titans will face league's second-placed Dragons Rhoendorf on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. FC Bayern II will play against SG Schwelmer Baskets (#5) and hope to win that game.
