BSL top team - Fenerbahce (13-2) managed to deliver another win on Saturday. This time they beat ninth ranked Istanbul BBSK (7-8) 83-70. Fenerbahce looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a quality performance for American power forward Jason Thompson (211-86, college: Rider) who led the winners and scored 9 points and 12 rebounds. Italian Nicolo Melli (205-91) accounted for 12 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side. Fenerbahce's coach Zeljko Obradovic used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Croatian power forward Ivan Buva (208-91) came up with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds and Serbian power forward Stefan Bircevic (210-89) added 19 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Istanbul BBSK in the defeat. Four Istanbul BBSK players scored in double figures. Fenerbahce have an impressive series of nine victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 13-2 record. Loser Istanbul BBSK keeps the ninth position with eight games lost.
