Everything went according to plan when fourth ranked Mersin MBK (11-4) beat on the road 14th ranked Istanbulgucu (3-12) 55-51. American center Chanita Jordan (196-87, college: Bowie St., agency: Gamble Sports Management) nailed 15 points and 8 rebounds for the winning side and forward Asli Sevinc (178-79, agency: LBM Management) accounted for 10 points and 7 rebounds. Four Mersin MBK players scored in double figures. Mersin MBK's coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. American center Rachel Mitchell (201-92, college: Texas A&M) came up with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 rebounds and Dilek Topdemir (-92) added 15 points respectively for Istanbulgucu in the defeat. Mersin MBK moved-up to third place. Istanbulgucu lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the fourteenth position with 12 games lost.
