Important game to mention about took place in Kyiv. Third ranked Rivne-OSHVSM (8-3) saved a 2-point victory on the road edging 5th ranked Kyiv Basket (4-7) 82-80 on Saturday evening. Rivne-OSHVSM forced 23 Kyiv Basket turnovers. Kyiv Basket was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. Point guard Taras Shaniuk (179-92) stepped up and scored 19 points for the winners and swingman Nazar Kisilchuk (194-97) chipped in 16 points. Four Rivne-OSHVSM players scored in double figures. Rivne-OSHVSM's coach Mikhail Pereverziy allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. At the losing side guard Vadim Dovidniy (184-93) responded with 24 points and 6 assists (made all of his eight free throws) and guard Mikita Pitushkin (193-94) scored 20 points and 7 assists. Rivne-OSHVSM have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain third place with 8-3 record having six points less than leader Dinamo. Kyiv Basket lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the fifth position with seven games lost. Rivne-OSHVSM will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Kyiv Basket will play again at home against Rivne-OSHVSM (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
