Regular Season Round 15: Banvit BK - Pinar Karsiyaka 84-65

Very predictable result when seventh ranked Banvit (9-6) rolled over 12th ranked Pinar Karsiyaka (5-10) in Balikesir 84-65 on Saturday. It was a great shooting night for Banvit especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.0 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a good game for American Adonis Thomas (198-93, college: Memphis) who led his team to a victory with 12 points and 5 assists. Canadian-American guard Andrew Rautins (193-86, college: Syracuse) contributed with 17 points for the winners. American-Hungarian power forward Jarrod Jones (207-90, college: Ball St.) answered with 13 points and international Metin Turen (206-94) added 12 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Pinar Karsiyaka. Five Banvit and four Pinar Karsiyaka players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Banvit. They moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Darussafaka and Sakarya BSB. Loser Pinar Karsiyaka dropped to the tenth position with ten games lost.
