Regular Season Round 11: Dynamo-NPU - Chaika 68-48

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 7th ranked Chaika's (5-11) road loss to sixth ranked Dynamo-NPU (6-8) 48-68 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Dynamo-NPU. Chaika was better in third quarter 17-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Dynamo-NPU held Chaika to an opponent 20.5 percent shooting from the field compared to 40.4 percent accuracy of the winners and made 18-of-20 free shots (90.0 percent) during the game. Dynamo-NPU had a 33-19 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists comparing to just 6 passes made by Chaika's players. It was a great evening for power forward Daryna Dubrovska (190-99) who led her team to a victory scoring 22 points and 7 rebounds (was perfect 12-for-12 from the free throw line !!!). Nataliia Tsiubyk (178-98) helped adding 11 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Dynamo-NPU players scored in double figures. Dynamo-NPU's coach Vladimir Ryzhov used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to get some rest. The former international forward Olexandra Radulovich (186-86) responded with 16 points and 5 rebounds and forward Angelica Lyashko (174-0) scored 12 points and 5 rebounds. Dynamo-NPU moved-up to fifth place. Newly promoted Chaika keeps the seventh position with 11 games lost. Dynamo-NPU will face higher ranked Vinnystkiye M. (#4) in Vinnytsia in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Chaika will play at home against Tavriyska Zirka and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
