Regular Season Round 13: Wolfenbuettel - B.Loewen 67-47

Very expected game when 10th ranked B.Loewen (3-9) was crushed on the road by sixth ranked Wolfpack Wolfenbuettel (6-5) 67-47 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Wolfpack Wolfenbuettel. B.Loewen was better in fourth quarter 16-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding B.Loewen to just 4 points in third quarter. They outrebounded B.Loewen 57-32 including a 19-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. American forward Brianna Rollerson (183-94, college: Creighton) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 29 rebounds for the winners and Canadian guard Nakeshia Hyde (180-90, college: Texas Tech) chipped in 14 points and 11 rebounds. At the losing side American guard Deeshyra Thomas (168-95, college: Weber St.) responded with 9 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists and the other American import center Mackenzie Morrison (195, college: William & Mary) scored 6 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Wolfpack Wolfenbuettel moved-up to fourth place in North. B.Loewen lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the tenth position with nine games lost. Wolfpack Wolfenbuettel will face SG BBZ Opladen (#7) in Leverkusen in the next round. B.Loewen will play at home against TuSLi Berlin and hope to win that game.
