Regular Season Round 15: Usak - Trabzonspor 100-71
Date: January 14, 2018
Bottom-ranked Usak Sportlif managed to get the second consecutive victory. This time they outleveled fourteenth-ranked Trabzonspor 100-71. It's especially surprising that the victory came too easily and 29-point difference proves that Usak Sportlif was well-prepared to that game. They dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Trabzonspor's 20. They outrebounded Trabzonspor 45-24 including a 22-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. Usak Sportlif shot the lights out from three nailing 14 long-distance shots on high 60.9 percentage. It was a great evening for American center Richard Solomon (208-92, college: California, agency: Pensack Sports) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 14 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). His fellow American import forward Jordan Hamilton (201-90, college: Texas) helped adding 17 points and 10 rebounds. Five Usak Sportlif players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American Caleb Green (203-85, college: ORU) with 22 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and Lithuanian point guard Sarunas Vasiliauskas (188-89, agency: Players Group) scored 14 points and 6 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Usak Sportlif (3-12) moved-up to fifteenth place, which they share with Gaziantep. Trabzonspor at the other side keeps the fourteenth position with 11 games lost.
