Second Stage Round 1: Beroe - Rilski Sportist 76-51

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Rilski Sportist (0-1) in Stara Zagora on Sunday night. Visitors were rolled over by Beroe (1-0) 76-51. The game was mostly controlled by Beroe. Rilski Sportist managed to win fourth quarter 21-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Beroe forced 33 Rilski Sportist turnovers. Swingman Petya Boyadjieva (178-98) fired 17 points for the winners. Italian center Alexandra Petrova (190-98) chipped in 12 points and 7 rebounds. Beroe's coach Tatyana Gateva felt very confident using 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Point guard Radina Zhivachka (164-0) produced 12 points and 7 rebounds and center Preslava Koleva (189-99) added 9 points and 9 rebounds respectively for lost side. Beroe is looking forward to face Montana 2003 on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Rilski Sportist will play against Slavia in Sofia and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
