Not a big story in a game in Dudenhofen where 11th ranked Speyer / Schifferstadt (2-10) was rolled over by second ranked Homburger TG (9-3) 95-54 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Homburger TG. Speyer / Schifferstadt was better in third quarter 23-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Homburger TG dominated on the defensive end, holding Speyer / Schifferstadt to just 7 points in fourth quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 72 of its points in the paint compared to Speyer / Schifferstadt's 34. Homburger TG forced 20 Speyer / Schifferstadt turnovers. Speyer / Schifferstadt's coach gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Homburger TG maintains second place in South with 9-3 record behind leader Freiburg. Speyer / Schifferstadt lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the eleventh position with ten games lost. Homburger TG will face Keltern II (#8) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game.
