The game between Top Four teams took place in Odessa. Second ranked host Interkhim (13-2) defeated 3rd placed Rivne (8-9) 84-78. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Interkhim made 7 blocks. It was a great evening for swingman Yulia Musienko (177-97) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 6 rebounds and 10 assists. International center Kristina Karp (196-98) helped adding 21 points and 7 rebounds. Interkhim's coach Iryna Shchipakina used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Viktoriya Shmatova responded with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 5 rebounds and 11 assists (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) and forward Iryna Basalyk (176-85) scored 18 points and 5 rebounds. Four Rivne players scored in double figures. Interkhim have an impressive series of ten victories in a row. They maintain second place with 13-2 record having four points less than leader Kyiv Basket. Rivne at the other side keeps the third position with nine games lost. Interkhim are looking forward to face HAI (#6) in Kharkiv in the next round. Rivne will play at home against the league's leader Kyiv Basket and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
