Regular Season Round 16: Elchingen - Fraport SKY II 81-71

ProB top team - Elchingen (14-2) managed to deliver another win on Sunday. This time they beat sixth ranked Fraport Skyliners II (8-8) 81-71. Elchingen dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Fraport Skyliners II's 28. Elchingen forced 23 Fraport Skyliners II turnovers and outrebounded them 46-23 including a 25-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. Fraport Skyliners II was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a very good performance for point guard Marko Krstanovic (196-97) who helped to win the game recording 8 points, 7 rebounds, 7 assists and 5 steals. Forward Brian Butler (196-91, agency: Athleadz) contributed with 14 points and 6 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) for the winners. Four Elchingen players scored in double figures. Elchingen's coach Dario Jerkic used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Point guard Garai Zeeb (187-97) replied with 27 points and 5 assists and British guard Jules Akodo (188-96) added 16 points and 5 assists in the effort for Fraport Skyliners II. Elchingen maintains first position in South with 14-2 record. Fraport Skyliners II lost third consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with eight games lost. Elchingen will face Giessen 46ers II (#4) on the road in the next round. Fraport Skyliners II will play against Karlsruhe SC and hope to win that game.
