Regular Season Round 15: Gaziantep - Darussafaka 65-98

No shocking result in a game when seventh ranked Darussafaka (9-6) crushed on the road 15th ranked Gaziantep (3-12) 98-65 on Sunday. Darussafaka dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Gaziantep's 30. They outrebounded Gaziantep 32-21 including 20 on the defensive glass. It was a good game for American forward Stanton Kidd (202-92, college: Colorado St.) who led his team to a victory with 24 points and 7 rebounds (perfect from the field making all nine shots !!!). Nigerian center Micheal Eric (210-88, college: Temple) contributed with 19 points for the winners. Four Darussafaka players scored in double figures. American Sean Armand (196-91, college: Iona) answered with 13 points and the other American import point guard Mark Lyons (185-89, college: Arizona, agency: Higher Vision Sports) added 11 points in the effort for Gaziantep. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Darussafaka moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Banvit BK and Sakarya BSB. Gaziantep lost their third game in a row. They keep the fifteenth position with 12 games lost.
