DBBL top team - TSV 1880 Wasserburg (12-2) had no problems winning another game on Sunday. This time they crushed eleventh ranked SV Halle Lions (3-11) 107-76. The game without a history. TSV 1880 Wasserburg led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 72 of its points in the paint compared to SV Halle Lions' 50. TSV 1880 Wasserburg forced 22 SV Halle Lions turnovers. American Monique Reid (185-90, college: Louisville, agency: Gamble Sports Management) had a double-double by scoring 47 points (!!!), 10 rebounds, 6 assists and 6 steals (on 21-of-26 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and Lithuanian point guard Santa Okockyte (175-92) chipped in 18 points and 9 assists during the contest. Four TSV 1880 Wasserburg players scored in double figures. American power forward Khadijah Shumpert (188-93, college: N.Mexico) responded with 32 points and 8 rebounds (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) and her fellow American import guard Brittany Hrynko (173-93, college: De Paul, agency: LBM Management) scored 12 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Defending champion maintains first position with 12-2 record, which they share with Keltern. SV Halle Lions lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the eleventh place with 11 games lost. TSV 1880 Wasserburg is looking forward to face bottom-ranked Goettingen (#12) at home in the next round which should be another easy win for them. SV Halle Lions will play against Herner TC and are hoping to prove to their fans that they can break losing series.
