TBL top team - Turk Telekom (17-1) added another victory to their record on Sunday. This time they beat sixth ranked Bandirma Kir. (10-8) in Balikesir 78-71. Turk Telekom looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was the former international point guard Ender Arslan (190-83) who scored 16 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. American power forward Darryl Monroe (201-86, college: George Mason) chipped in 9 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was Erxhan Osmani (-98) who recorded 12 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Harun-Can Dogan (193-96) added 12 points respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Turk Telekom have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 17-1 record. Loser Bandirma Kir. keeps the sixth place with eight games lost. They share the position with Bahcesehir and Karesi Spor. Turk Telekom will meet at home Socar Petkim (#16) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Bandirma Kir. will play against TED Kolejliler (#13) in Ankara and hope to secure a win.
