Fortuna (#5) forced the game against Aistes-LSU (#4) into an overtime, but lost by six points 68-74 on Tuesday night. The game took place in Klaipeda. But the guests from Kaunas were better at the end. The guests trailed by 10 points after first quarter, but they rallied back and won the game in overtime by 6 points. Aistes-LSU dominated on the defensive end, holding Fortuna to just 7 points in fourth quarter. They also forced 22 Fortuna turnovers. Strangely Fortuna outrebounded Aistes-LSU 51-38 including 39 on the defensive glass. Klaudija Serkeviciute (170-99) scored 18 points, 8 assists and 6 steals to lead the charge for the winners and Monika Petrauskaite (182-92) chipped in 14 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was forward Sandra Baliutaviciute (182-81) with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 18 rebounds and the former international guard Andra Gabalyte (179-80, college: Liberty) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points, 13 rebounds and 7 assists. Five Aistes-LSU and four Fortuna players scored in double figures. Aistes-LSU maintains fourth position with 7-8 record. Fortuna lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with nine games lost. Aistes-LSU's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Kaunas Hoptrans-Sirenos Kaunas.
