Regular Season Round 14: Partizan - Beocin 79-65

No shocking result in a game when second ranked Partizan (12-2) beat 9th ranked Beocin (5-9) in Beograd 79-65 on Wednesday. The game was mostly controlled by Partizan. Beocin managed to win second period 24-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 18-of-22 free shots (81.8 percent) during the game. Partizan outrebounded Beocin 40-27 including a 15-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. The former international power forward Ivanka Matic (193-79) notched a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds to lead the effort and Bosnian guard Rada Vidovic (177-79) supported her with 10 points, 8 rebounds and 9 assists. Five Partizan players scored in double figures. Even 23 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists by Montenegrin forward Irena Matovic (186-88) did not help to save the game for Beocin. The former international Jovana Adamovic (187-87) added 19 points and 9 rebounds for the guests. Partizan have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 12-2 record having just two points less than leader Crvena Zvezda. Beocin lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the ninth place with nine games lost. Partizan will meet Sabac (#6) on the road in the next round. Beocin will play against Spartak and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
