Tenth-ranked Bayrakli (8-9) made lots of trouble for third ranked Mersin MBK (13-4). The visitors from Mersin managed to secure only two-point victory 66-64. However their fans expected much easier game. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Bayrakli. It was a good game for Goksen Fitik (170-1) who led her team to a victory with 15 points and 7 rebounds. American center Chanita Jordan (196-87, college: Bowie St., agency: Gamble Sports Management) contributed with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Mersin MBK's coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Ukrainian center Olena Staschuk (192-85) replied with 18 points and 7 rebounds and guard Sirin Altuntabakli (173-83) added 14 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Bayrakli. Mersin MBK have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Bursa BSB. Newly promoted Bayrakli dropped to the ninth position with nine games lost. They share it with Elazig. Mersin MBK will play against Yalova Vip (#16) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Bayrakli will play against Elazig (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
