Date: January 20, 2018
Very predictable result when fourth ranked Herner TC (9-6) beat at home 11th ranked SV Halle Lions (3-12) 82-69. The game was mostly controlled by Herner TC. SV Halle Lions was better in fourth quarter 18-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a good game for American forward Courtney Range (190-95, college: California, agency: LBM Management) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds. American-Italian guard Beatrice Attura (170-94, college: Northwestern St., agency: LBM Management) contributed with 23 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) for the winners. Four Herner TC players scored in double figures. American guard Brittany Hrynko (173-93, college: De Paul, agency: LBM Management) answered with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds and the other American import power forward Khadijah Shumpert (188-93, college: N.Mexico) added 14 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) in the effort for SV Halle Lions. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Herner TC maintains fourth place with 9-6 record, which they share with Marburg. SV Halle Lions lost seventh consecutive game. They keep the eleventh position with 12 games lost. Herner TC will play against bottom-ranked Goettingen (#12) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
