We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Salzburg where 10th ranked Basket 2K (3-13) was crushed by eleventh ranked BBU S. (3-13) 91-59 on Saturday. The game without a history. BBU S. led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Basket 2K's 24. BBU S. forced 19 Basket 2K turnovers and outrebounded them 46-26 including a 35-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Basket 2K's players. Worth to mention a great performance of Spanish forward Guillermo Sanchez (200-91) who helped to win the game recording 24 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and forward Christian Joch (196-96) who added 20 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Four BBU S. players scored in double figures. At the losing side Croatian guard Armin Topic (192-97) responded with 23 points and 8 rebounds and guard Denis Vuckovic (183-96) scored 12 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. BBU S. moved-up to tenth place, which they share with defeated Basket 2K. Basket 2K lost sixth consecutive game. BBU S. will meet higher ranked Rocks (#7) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Basket 2K will play against Lions and hope to secure a win.
