Regular Season Round 19: Turk Telekom - Petkim 80-64

Leader Turk Telekom delivered the eighteenth victory. This time they beat 16th ranked Socar Petkim (4-15) 80-64 in Ankara. Turk Telekom players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard TJ Campbell (175-88, college: Portland) who helped to win the game recording 25 points. His fellow American import power forward Darryl Monroe (201-86, college: George Mason) contributed with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Forward Murat Erensoy (201-91) answered with 12 points and 8 rebounds and American point guard Adam Smith (185-92, college: Georgia Tech) added 16 points in the effort for Socar Petkim. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Turk Telekom (18-1) have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain first place. Socar Petkim at the other side keeps the sixteenth position with 15 games lost. They share it with Samsun and Yalova Bld. Turk Telekom will play against Samsun (#17) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Socar Petkim will play against TED Kolejliler and hopes to get back on the winning track.
