Not a big story in a game when 13th ranked Lich II (3-12) was outscored on the road by third ranked Koblenz (13-3) 90-62 on Saturday. Koblenz looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Lich II's players. American forward Marlin Mason (201-93, college: Cleveland St.) orchestrated the victory by scoring 23 points and 8 rebounds. Point guard Steffen Haufs (188-95) contributed with 10 points and 4 assists for the winners. Coach Josip Bosnjak's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play all 12 players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. American guard Chris Longoria (193-92, college: Valdosta St.) answered with 25 points and Dominik Turudic (202-94) added 10 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Lich II. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Koblenz. They maintain third place in South-West with 13-3 record having four points less than leader Grevenbroich. Loser Lich II keeps the thirteenth position with 12 games lost. Koblenz will face league's second-placed Speyer on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week.
