Very predictable result when third ranked TuSLi Berlin (9-2) beat on the road 11th ranked B.Loewen (3-10) 72-63 on Saturday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But B.Loewen won third quarter 16-15. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was power forward Nyara Sabally (-0) who scored 17 points and 7 rebounds. Lena Gohlisch (173-93) chipped in 18 points. TuSLi Berlin's coach Alexandra Maerz used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American guard Deeshyra Thomas (168-95, college: Weber St.) produced 20 points and 4 assists and Anne Storck (180-88) added 9 points and 10 rebounds respectively for the hosts. TuSLi Berlin have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain third position in North with 9-2 record behind leader Freiburg. B.Loewen lost seventh consecutive game. They dropped to the tenth place with ten games lost. TuSLi Berlin will face SG BBZ Opladen (#7) in Leverkusen in the next round.
