Regular Season Round 17: Sezana - Plama Pur 66-47
Date: January 20, 2018
Rather predictable result when second ranked Sezana (12-3) smashed at home 6th ranked Plama Pur (7-9) 66-47 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Sezana. Plama Pur was better in third quarter 18-9. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Plama Pur to just 5 points in first quarter. The former international power forward Primoz Brezec (216-79) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds for the winners and forward Matic Sirnik (198-91) chipped in 6 points and 9 rebounds. Power forward Robi Hrescak (203-92) responded with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 13 rebounds and swingman Anze Srebovt (196-91) scored 16 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Sezana. They maintain second place with 12-3 record having five points less than leader Terme Olimia. Loser Plama Pur dropped to the seventh position with nine games lost. Sezana will face bottom-ranked Konjice (#12) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Plama Pur will play against Pingvini (#11) and hope to win that game.
