Regular Season Round 19: Antalyaspor - Istanbulspor 82-81

Fourteenth-ranked Istanbulspor (6-13) made lots of trouble for fourth ranked Antalyaspor (13-6) on Saturday. Antalyaspor managed to secure only one-point victory 82-81. However their fans expected much easier game. Antalyaspor looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a great evening for American point guard Robert Lowery (188-87, college: Dayton) who led his team to a victory scoring 23 points and 7 assists. Point guard Emir Gokalp (185-95) helped adding 18 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. At the losing side forward Gokhan Yazicioglu (200-90) responded with 15 points and 7 rebounds and forward Atakan Denk (191-91) scored 17 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Newly promoted Antalyaspor maintains fourth place with 13-6 record, which they share with Selcuklu. Istanbulspor lost their eighth game in a row. They dropped to the thirteenth position with 13 games lost. They share it with TED Kolejliler. Antalyaspor will meet Bakirkoy (#9) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Istanbulspor will play against Bandirma Kir. (#7) in Balikesir and hope to secure a win.
