Rather expected game when 6th ranked Terceira (8-9) was defeated on the road by third ranked FC Porto Ferpinta (11-5) 89-84 on Saturday. American forward Will Sheehey (201-92, college: Indiana) scored 26 points and 6 rebounds (on 11-of-12 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and American-Irish swingman Will Hanley (201-90, college: Bowdoin, agency: Duran International) chipped in 14 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. Four FC Porto Ferpinta players scored in double figures. FC Porto Ferpinta's coach Moncho Lopez used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. American point guard Isaiah Johnson (183-93, college: Young Harris) responded with 27 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists and his fellow American import guard Marqueze Coleman (193-93, college: Nevada) scored 23 points. FC Porto Ferpinta maintains third position with 11-5 record having just three points less than leader Benfica. Newly promoted Terceira keeps the sixth place with nine games lost. FC Porto Ferpinta will face Galitos-Barreiro (#10) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Terceira will play against Barreirense (#12) in Barreiro and hope to win that game.
