Regionalliga top team - Oberhaching (13-2) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed fourteenth ranked GGZ Baskets (1-14) in Zwickau 89-65. They outrebounded GGZ Baskets 42-31 including 34 on the defensive glass. Serbian guard Ognjen Zoric (188-90, college: Bridgeport) orchestrated the victory by scoring 21 points (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). Swingman Peter Zeis (196-89) contributed with 15 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Five Oberhaching players scored in double figures. Coach Mario Matic's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play 10 players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Forward Andreas Endig (198-78) answered with 25 points and 6 rebounds and guard Hendrik Bellscheidt (193-90) added 9 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for GGZ Baskets. The victory was the tenth consecutive win for Oberhaching. They maintain first place in South-East with 13-2 record. GGZ Baskets lost their fourteenth game in a row. They keep the fourteenth position with 14 games lost. Oberhaching will face league's second-placed Gotha II at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. GGZ Baskets will play against Bamberg (#12) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
