The game between third ranked Levski 2014 (9-5) and ninth ranked Spartak Pleven (1-13) was the most important one in the last round on Saturday night. Levski 2014 was crushed by Spartak Pleven in Pleven 111-71. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Levski 2014. The game without a history. Spartak Pleven led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 19-of-25 free shots (76.0 percent) during the game. Spartak Pleven outrebounded Levski 2014 42-28 including a 38-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three sinking 16 long-distance shots on high 66.7 percentage. It was a great evening for forward Konstantin Koev (196-91) who led his team to a victory scoring 21 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. Belarusian center Uladzimir Krysevich (209-91) helped adding 26 points and 4 assists. Four Spartak Pleven players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was swingman Ivan Alipiev (200-99) with 18 points and 5 rebounds and Marin Marinov (202-0) scored 9 points. Levski 2014's coach Konstantin Papazov gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Spartak Pleven maintains ninth place with 1-13 record. Levski 2014 at the other side keeps the third position with five games lost. They share it with Akademik PL. Spartak Pleven are looking forward to face higher ranked Cherno More (#7) in Varna in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Levski 2014 will play on the road against the league's leader Rilski (#1) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
