Regular Season Round 15: Crvena Zvezda - Vrsac 99-31

1 ZLS top team - Crvena Zvezda (15-0) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed twelfth ranked ZKK Vrsac (1-14) in Beograd 99-31. The game without a history. Crvena Zvezda led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding ZKK Vrsac to just 4 points in first quarter and to 12 points in first half. Crvena Zvezda held ZKK Vrsac to an opponent 22.4 percent shooting from the field compared to 43.6 percent accuracy of the winners. Crvena Zvezda forced 23 ZKK Vrsac turnovers and outrebounded them 62-25 including a 31-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. Crvena Zvezda looked well-organized offensively handing out 33 assists comparing to just 2 passes made by ZKK Vrsac's players. It was a great evening for Snezana Bogicevic (177-97) who led her team to a victory scoring 24 points and 8 rebounds. Guard Nevena Naumcev (173-99) helped adding 11 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Crvena Zvezda players scored in double figures. Crvena Zvezda's coach Dragan Vukovic felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was swingman Ivana Jovanovic (177-98) with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 14 rebounds and Milana Kerkez (184-94, agency: BeoBasket) scored 10 points and 4 steals. Crvena Zvezda have an impressive series of fifteen victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 15-0 record. ZKK Vrsac lost seventh consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 14 games lost. They share it with Sumadija KG. Crvena Zvezda's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Beograd to the arena Partizan.
