Regular Season Round 13: Horsholm - Vaerlose 83-49

Dameligaen top team - Horsholm (13-1) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed fifth ranked Vaerlose (2-11) 83-49. Horsholm forced 19 Vaerlose turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists. American forward Maryah Sydnor (185-93, college: Appalachian St.) stepped up and scored 12 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners and forward Gritt Ryder (173-92, college: Colorado St.) chipped in 14 points and 9 rebounds. Horsholm's coach Jesper Krone Rasmussen felt very confident using entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side American center Paige Cashin (193-95, college: S.Florida) responded with 10 points and 9 rebounds and forward Annemie Espensen (179-97) scored 13 points. Horsholm maintains first place with 13-1 record. Vaerlose lost fifth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the fifth position with 11 games lost. Horsholm will play against league's second-placed Virum at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Vaerlose will play against Lemvig and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
