The game had a very big importance for third-ranked Hatay as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Hatay defeated 4th placed Botas in Adana 67-58. It was a good game for American center Courtney Paris (191-87, college: Oklahoma) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 18 rebounds and 4 assists. Australian-American point guard Leilani Mitchell (165-85, college: Utah) contributed with 9 points for the winners. American guard Chelsea Gray (180-92, college: Duke) answered with 20 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists and the former international center Kristen Nevlin (193-85, college: Stanford) added 16 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Botas. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Fenerbahce. Botas lost third consecutive game. They still keep top place with seven games lost. They share the position with Besiktas and Cukurova. Botas will play next round against Adana ASKI trying to get back on the winning streak. Hatay will try to continue on its current victory against first ranked Cukurova in Mersin.
