There was no surprise when 8th ranked Braunschweig (4-8) was defeated at home by first ranked Osnabrueck SC (11-2) 68-56 on Sunday. The guests trailed by 9 points after first quarter, but they stormed back and won the game by 12 points. The best player for the winners was American forward Jacinda Myers-Sanders (187, college: Arkansas Tech) who scored 14 points and 7 rebounds. Swedish forward Mikaela Gustafsson (186-93, college: Maine) chipped in 7 points and 8 rebounds. Osnabrueck SC's coach Mario Zurkowski used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American point guard Ariel Hearn (171-94, college: Memphis) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds and forward Lyndi Laborn (190-90, college: UTSA) added 13 points and 10 rebounds respectively for the hosts.
