Regular Season Round 17: Saarlouis/Dillingen - Stuttgart 92-74

There was no surprise when 7th ranked Stuttgart (8-8) lost on the road to fourth ranked Saarlouis/Dillingen (12-4) 92-74 on Sunday. Saarlouis/Dillingen outrebounded Stuttgart 41-26 including a 35-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Swedish forward Samme Unger (196-94) orchestrated the victory by scoring 19 points and 9 rebounds. Naturalized Bosnian center Muharem Mujkanovic (204-88) contributed with 22 points and 5 rebounds (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field) for the winners. Four Saarlouis/Dillingen players scored in double figures. American forward Nick Mosley (203-88, college: Tarleton St.) answered with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Nii Bergmann (188-98) added 16 points in the effort for Stuttgart. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Saarlouis/Dillingen. They maintain fourth place in South-West with 12-4 record. Loser Stuttgart keeps the seventh position with eight games lost. Saarlouis/Dillingen will face Kaiserslautern (#8) at home in the next round. Stuttgart will play against Mainz and hope to win that game.
