Rather predictable result when twelfth ranked Mainz (5-11) edged at home 14th ranked BG Karlsruhe (1-14) 73-71 on Sunday. Mainz had a 38-24 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American point guard Kewan Beebe (183, college: Geneseo St.) orchestrated the victory by scoring 22 points and 9 rebounds. Maximilian Befort (199-94) contributed with 17 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Croatian guard Matej Jelovcic (185-98) answered with 12 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and American guard Josh Mayberry (190-95, college: Dominican, IL) added 12 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for BG Karlsruhe.
