Regular Season Round 17: Konjice - Triglav 93-99 OT

Konjice (#11) forced overtime, but falled to Triglav (#9) by six points 93-99. The game took place in Konjice. But the guests from Kranj were better at the end. Konjice was ahead by 4 points at the halftime before a 26-17 third quarter run of Triglav. They tied the game at the end of regular time. Then they were better in overtime eventually winning that period 17-11. Triglav dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Konjice's 36. 30 personal fouls committed by Konjice helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Guard Aleksander Vojicic (192-87) orchestrated the victory by scoring 26 points and 5 rebounds. Forward Matija Vravnik (198-92) contributed with 22 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Forward Gasper Sevsek (198-93) answered with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds and forward Blaz Meglic (196-93) added 12 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Konjice. Four Triglav and five Konjice players scored in double figures. Triglav maintains ninth place with 7-10 record. Konjice at the other side dropped to the bottom position with 13 games lost. Triglav's next round opponent will be higher ranked LTH Castings (#3) in Skofja Loka and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Konjice will play at home against the league's second-placed Sezana (#2) and will have a slim chance for a victory.
