Bottom-ranked UBSC Graz (0-18) is still winless. This time they lost on the road their 18th consecutive match to seventh ranked Gunners Oberwart (7-10) 87-72 on Friday evening. The game was mostly controlled by Gunners Oberwart. UBSC Graz managed to win second period 27-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded UBSC Graz 43-31 including 17 on the offensive glass. The best player for the winners was American forward Denzel Gregg (201, college: St.Bonaventure) who had a double-double by scoring 23 points and 13 rebounds. The other American import guard Louis Dabney (190-93, college: Tulane) chipped in 24 points. Gunners Oberwart's coach Lluis Pino used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. The former international Anton Maresch (191-91) produced 22 points and 5 assists and American center Darien Nelson-Henry (211-94, college: Pennsylvania) added 18 points and 9 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Gunners Oberwart maintains seventh position with 7-10 record. Loser UBSC Graz still closes the standings. Gunners Oberwart will meet at home higher ranked Raiffeisen Flyers Wels (#4) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. UBSC Graz will play against Furstenfeld Panthers (#8) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
