Regular Season Round 20: Kapfenberg - Furstenfeld 99-58

A Bundesliga top team - Kapfenberg Bulls (14-4) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed eighth ranked Furstenfeld Panthers (5-13) 99-58. Kapfenberg Bulls dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Furstenfeld Panthers' 20. Kapfenberg Bulls players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Furstenfeld Panthers' players. The winners were led by American swingman Brian Oliver (201-90, college: Seton Hall) who scored that evening 26 points and 5 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) and international center Jozo Rados (208-93) supported him with 17 points and 11 rebounds. Four Kapfenberg Bulls players scored in double figures. Kapfenberg Bulls' coach Michael Coffin felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 23 points and 5 assists by Croatian Marko Car (188-85) did not help to save the game for Furstenfeld Panthers. American forward Chris Reyes (201-94, college: Pepperdine) added 16 points and 12 rebounds for the guests. Kapfenberg Bulls have an impressive six-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 14-4 record. Furstenfeld Panthers at the other side keep the eighth place with 13 games lost. Kapfenberg Bulls will play against Dukes (#6) in Klosterneuburg in the next round where they are favorite. Furstenfeld Panthers will play on the road against UBSC Graz and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
