Regular Season Round 15: Opladen - TuSLi Berlin 59-57

The most exciting game of round 15 in the 2.Bundesliga took place in Leverkusen. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of 3rd placed TuSLi Berlin (9-3) to seventh ranked SG BBZ Opladen (6-8) 59-57 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of TuSLi Berlin. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But TuSLi Berlin won fourth quarter 22-16. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a good game for forward Leonie Prudent (181-89) who led her team to a victory with 8 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Center Mareike Nettersheim (186-83) contributed with 6 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Lena Gohlisch (173-93) answered with 16 points and 9 rebounds and center Meret Kleine-Beek (-1) added 11 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for TuSLi Berlin. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. SG BBZ Opladen maintains seventh place in North with 6-8 record. TuSLi Berlin at the other side keeps the third position with three games lost. SG BBZ Opladen are looking forward to face B.Loewen (#11) at home in the next round. TuSLi Berlin will play against Baskets Grunberg (#9) in Gruenberg and is hoping to win this game.
