Regular Season Round 15: Rogaska - KK Primorska 79-68

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of top-ranked KK Primorska (11-4) in Rogaska Slatina on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by fourth ranked Rogaska (9-6) 79-68. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of KK Primorska. It may be a crucial game in the contest for the top position in the league. The game was mostly controlled by Rogaska. KK Primorska managed to win second period 20-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 17-of-19 free shots (89.5 percent) during the game. Rogaska forced 20 KK Primorska turnovers. It was a good game for forward Marko Pajic (204-92) who led his team to a victory with 16 points and 7 rebounds. American guard Rashun Davis (180-93, college: Radford) contributed with 13 points and 7 assists for the winners. Davis is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Rogaska players scored in double figures. The former international Gezim Morina (204-92) answered with 20 points and 5 rebounds and Croatian center Marijan Cakarun (204-90, agency: PEPI SPORT) added 15 points and 5 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) in the effort for KK Primorska. KK Primorska's coach Jurica Golemac rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Rogaska moved-up to second place, which they share with Olimpija and Helios. KK Primorska at the other side still keeps top position with four games lost. Rogaska is looking forward to face Sencur Gor. (#7) in Kranj in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. KK Primorska will play at home against the league's second-placed Helios (#2) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
