Regular Season Round 17: Sirius TgM - Timisoara 60-85

There was no surprise in Targu Mures where 9th ranked Sirius TgM (2-14) was crushed by seventh ranked Timisoara (7-9) 85-60. Timisoara dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Sirius TgM's 20. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. American guard Dlesha Lloyd (179-86, college: Clemson) nailed 27 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side and the former international swingman Monika Boriga (176-74) accounted for 17 points, 6 assists and 4 steals. Four Timisoara players scored in double figures. American guard Angel Robinson (170-89, college: Marquette, agency: LBM Management) came up with 17 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) and Emese Gal (-92) added 18 points respectively for Sirius TgM in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Newly promoted Timisoara maintains seventh place with 7-9 record. Sirius TgM lost their fourteenth game in a row. They keep the ninth position with 14 games lost. Timisoara's next round opponent will be higher ranked Olimpia Brasov (#3) at home and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Sirius TgM will play against ICIM Arad (#6) and hope to win that game.
