Very expected game when bottom-ranked Bornova (0-16) was crushed at home by second ranked Fenerbahce (14-2) 102-55 on Saturday. Fenerbahce dominated down low during the game scoring 74 of its points in the paint compared to Bornova's 38. Fenerbahce forced 24 Bornova turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Bornova's players. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Fenerbahce made 7 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of international center Esra Ural (198-91, agency: LBM Management) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 15 points, 15 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 blocks and American guard Kelsey Plum (173-94, college: Washington) who added 23 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Fenerbahce maintains second position with 14-2 record having just seven point less than leader Cukurova, which they share with Hatay. Newly promoted Bornova still closes the standings with 16 games lost.
