There was a small surprise in Diedorf where tenth ranked Herzogenaurach (6-10) won against 8th ranked Topstar (6-10) 76-72 on Saturday. Herzogenaurach made 26-of-34 free shots (76.5 percent) during the game. Topstar was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. Guard Daniel Krause (194-88) scored 20 points to lead the charge for the winners and guard Stefan Dinkel (189-89, college: Dawson CC) chipped in 15 points during the contest. The best for the losing side was Slovenian guard Emanuel Richter (192-86) with 15 points and point guard Lewis-Vincent Londene (182-97) scored 15 points. Topstar's coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Herzogenaurach moved-up to ninth place in South-East, which they share with Leitershofen. Herzogenaurach will face league's leader Oberhaching in Deisenhofen in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
