Top ranked Rilski (11-4) recorded its fourth loss in Samokov. Hosts were edged by third ranked Levski 2014 (10-6) 73-72. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Rilski. The guests were ahead by 4 points but lost the second period ending it with a 4-point deficit before their 20-15 run, which allowed them to win the game. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international guard Stanimir Marinov (192-91, agency: Interperformances) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 6 assists. The former international guard Bozhidar Avramov (196-90) contributed with 16 points for the winners. The former international guard Zlatin Georgiev (197-85) replied with 13 points and 8 rebounds and American point guard Derek Wright (179-86, college: Austin Peay St.) added 11 points and 6 assists in the effort for Rilski. Four Rilski players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Levski 2014 maintains third position with 10-6 record behind leader Balkan. Rilski at the other side dropped to the second place with four games lost. Levski 2014 will play against league's leader Balkan in Botevgrad in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Rilski will have a break next round.
