An interesting game for Kibirkstis (12-4) which played road game in Kaunas against one of their biggest challengers Aistes-LSU (7-10). Third ranked Kibirkstis managed to get a 11-point victory 81-70. The guests trailed by 9 points at the halftime before their 55-35 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Kibirkstis dominated down low during the game scoring 74 of its points in the paint compared to Aistes-LSU's 44. They outrebounded Aistes-LSU 34-20 including 24 on the defensive glass. Kibirkstis looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists. American forward Shenita Landry (188-87, college: Temple) orchestrated the victory by scoring 28 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists (on 13-of-17 shooting from the field). International forward Laura Juskaite (187-97) contributed with 19 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals for the winners. Four Kibirkstis players scored in double figures. Kibirkstis' coach Jurgita Streimikyte used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Monika Petrauskaite (182-92) replied with 13 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists and Karolina Kazociunaite (179-99) added 14 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Aistes-LSU. Kibirkstis have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 12-4 record having four points less than leader Suduva. Aistes-LSU at the other side keeps the fourth place with ten games lost. Kibirkstis are looking forward to face Vilkmerge (#6) in Ukmerge in the next round. Aistes-LSU will have a break next round.
