2.Bundesliga top team - Eisvogel Freiburg (11-3) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed sixth ranked Krofdorf/Gleib. (6-8) 103-52. The game without a history. Eisvogel Freiburg led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Krofdorf/Gleib.'s 36. They outrebounded Krofdorf/Gleib. 40-18 including a 30-12 advantage in defensive rebounds. Eisvogel Freiburg looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a quality performance for forward Kirsten Gaffney (185) who led the winners and scored 31 points and 9 rebounds (on 13-of-16 shooting from the field). American guard Kelly Hughes (180, college: Boston Coll.) accounted for 20 points and 4 steals for the winning side. Four Eisvogel Freiburg players scored in double figures. Eisvogel Freiburg's coach Pierre Hohn felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American forward Chelsea Small (184, college: Indiana St.) came up with 20 points and 5 rebounds and the other American import forward Alise Karlsone (183-91, college: Charleston So.) added 7 points and 9 rebounds respectively for Krofdorf/Gleib. in the defeat. Eisvogel Freiburg maintains first place in South with 11-3 record. Krofdorf/Gleib. lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the seventh position with eight games lost. Eisvogel Freiburg will meet Wasserburg II (#11) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
