Regular Season Round 21: Fortuna - Suduva 87-66

The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Suduva (15-3) in Klaipeda on Tuesday night. Visitors were rolled over by fifth ranked Fortuna (7-10) 87-66. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Suduva. Fortuna looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. Roberta Mizgeryte (188-95) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and the former international guard Andra Gabalyte (179-80, college: Liberty) chipped in 15 points and 11 assists. Five Fortuna players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was forward Lina Mikeleviciene (182-87) with 25 points and point guard Greta Tamasauskaite (177-91, agency: BeoBasket) scored 12 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. Suduva's coach Tadas Stankevicius gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Fortuna moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Aistes-LSU. Defending champion Suduva still keeps top position with three games lost. Fortuna is looking forward to face Vilkmerge (#6) in Ukmerge in the next round. Suduva will have a break next round.
